Surkhet, The drinking water facility has been provided to the public through the use of solar energy in various VDCs of Surkhet and Dailekh.
The solar-enabled water pumps have been set up to deliver drinking water service in Bajedichaur, Garpan and Taranga VDCs of Surkhet and Lalikanda and Abalparajul VDCs of Dailekh.
The Alternative Energy Promotion Centre and Astha Nepal Surkhet took the joint initiative to install solar-operated pumps to ease the supply of drinking water in the districts.
Astha Nepal's Sub-Engineer Chandra Prakash KC said the supply of drinking water has been made smooth in the dry areas with the use of solar technology to lift water up to 150 metres.
